From the intimate wedding of 10 to the extravaganza for 125, The Mooring B&B is a beautiful traditional Midcoast Maine Wedding Location.
The Mooring in Midcoast Maine has beautifully landscaped grounds with wonderful old plantings, some dating back to the early 1900s. There is a Pergola directly on the ocean’s edge for exchanging your vows, and we have a large, groomed lawn for your tented reception and wonderful music while enjoying a great meal prepared on-site by our catering staff.
You can have a casual lobster bake put on by Penny’s sons, Todd & Jason, featuring the wonderful Five Island Lobsters and locally dug steamers, along with Clam Chowder and all the fixings, including Penny’s Blueberry Cake.
Todd and Jason also do an awesome barbecue with ribs, chicken, steak, fish, or burgers, and traditional salads, baked beans, roasted vegetables, bread, and desserts.
A more formal dinner can be either a sit-down or a buffet, ranging from baked ham or grilled chicken to seafood-stuffed lobster tails and grilled filet mignon. We also have a wide variety of appetizers that can be served either at the table or passed.
We can always custom-design a menu to meet the bride’s and groom’s palates and expectations. It is very important to us to ensure we attend to every little detail.

I can’t say enough about this beautiful B&B. Karen and her family and staff have been nothing short of amazing. My daughter got married here yesterday. It was absolutely breathtaking, and every little detail was taken care of. Lobster bake for the rehearsal dinner was outstanding as well as the wedding day dinner. Everyone was raving about the dinner and we all eating dinner together within minutes.
The rooms are so unique and welcoming. Everything thought out, I needed nothing.
By the end of the first day I felt like family.

“My family stayed here for a weekend, and we couldn’t have had a better experience!!! The property is beautiful, and there is nothing like falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing off in the distance. The rooms were cozy and decorated in coastal Maine style. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful!!! Karen was the most wonderful host. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My brother and wife have two small children and she was so accommodating with the food she put out for them, washing their bottles, and plates, and even providing a baby gate. We even has a small accident where my father blew out his knee and we needed to call an ambulance!!
