Midcoast Maine Attractions

Lobster BoatThe Mooring is located on Harmon’s Harbor. You can awaken to the sounds of lobstermen going to retrieve their “catch” for the day and later enjoy eating them at the local lobster wharf close by in the quaint fishing village of Five Islands. (Known as “Home of the Big Boys.”)

Stroll Mile Beach or climb over the rocks down the road at Reid State Park, where there are hiking and biking trails. You never know what you might see for wildlife.

A few miles away is the City of Bath where the Maine Maritime Museum is located, quaint antique stores, and a variety of shopping choices. Also, Brunswick is close by with summer theatre at the Maine State Music Theatre and renowned Bowdoin College.

Freeport (home of L.L.Bean) and many shopping outlets are 45 minutes away, and Portland, with its great Old Port area, is only one hour to the south. To the north are Boothbay Harbor, Rockport, Rockland, and Camden.
